But hey… look at you now! Listen in! Enjoy!
During WWII, a federal campaign was initiated, encouraging women to boost the morale of men. There were schools set up to help women live into the ideal image of the (white) woman. The Duty of Beauty was more than a fanciful slogan. It was a cultural shift in the way women were “supposed to” show up. Lipstick was a must. Psychological studies “proved” that make-up helped boost self-concept.
And here it is 80ish years later - in a room of women I asked these questions: “What is your biggest personal challenge? What are you struggling with the most right now?” Almost, as if in unison, they responded: Self Image.
Today’s One Sharp Sword podcast bursts through the struggle of self-image. Oh, it’ll only barely scratch the surface of the issue. And yet, let’s get the conversation started. This is for men and women (of all ages and ethnic backgrounds). Let’s go. We’re cutting through to what matters most.
