Asa Leveaux is a gentleman who won’t be confined or defined by any role. He’s overcome A LOT while living in Oklahoma. Being a black man in the LGBTQ community hasn’t slowed him down because he only associates with those who would celebrate him, not just tolerate him.
He’s an entrepreneurial coach, the founder of the Oklahoma Black Business Expo, a best-selling author, a podcaster, and so much more.
Asa describes how in following others who are on big stages, he compared himself to them. In doing so, he knew he’d never be like them. “I was never supposed to be like them.” They became lights on his journey to become a light to others, by being himself, not by being anyone else!
He notes that “...to be realistic is to deny your complete self.”
He notes having grown-up short and says he was “too short to be scared.” He just had to step in. Resilience is key.
